Physicochemical Characterization of Cullet to Glaze for Environmental Sustainability and Entrepreneurial Development

Purpose: Inability of ceramists to formulate glazes locally and the cost importing had resulted closure many cottage ceramic industries in Nigeria. The study, physicochemical characterization cullet glaze, was conducted with aim recycling for glazing earthen wares intention conduct elemental analysis waste glass glaze recipes, determine its artistic usage, lessen from environment harness chemical properties industrial development economic growth.
 Methodology: Methodologies study involved laboratory oxides concentration studio techniques form batches, batch-milling, application on earthenware, kiln firing. Four colours windowpane were used order their chromaticity effects as glaze. Cullet pulverised pulveriser machine (Rocklabs) carried out tandem accelerator machine, using Particle Induce X-ray Emission oxide compositions concentrations.
 Findings: Elemental revealed Na2O, MgO, K2O, Al2O3, SiO2, CaO, TiO2, PbO FeO. SO3, P3O5, ZrO2, Rb2O, ZnO, MoO3, Sb2O5, SrO BaO varying concentrations samples. gave good matt, glossy, opalescent, translucent opaque results at 950oC temperature. reactions additive fluxes each formulated batch assist hydrokinetics nature crystallisation phases kiln.
